What do people say about us?
Doing some courses really worked for me. Getting me out of the house, going through some stuff that I had not done for a long time and having to dig deep in my memory, I loved it. The wheels did start to turn, and interviews began to happen. One thing I had not thought about was at interviews I was being asked "what have you been doing when you have not been working? Now I had a brilliant answer "I have been doing some courses" Potential employers lapped this up, I expanded and went into detail.
I have been very fortunate to gain employment now with a great company as a Hospitality Recruitment Manager. Every single day a lot of people contact me looking for work and I tell them my story, contact GO TRAIN and complete some courses, it really helps with gaining employment in the future
The staff were welcoming and really took the time to treat us as individuals, everything was explained in a way that suited different learning styles and they took people’s lives into account, as some of us has small children or family members to care for whilst studying.
I successfully completed the course and a few weeks later, I applied for a new position with Citizens Advice, did my interview via video call, received a job offer- which I duly accepted!
Without my time at go-train, I would never have had the confidence to go for this job. Go-train played a large part in boosting my confidence and making my future look like a good prospect again!
